Eyeballs On 2010
Prologue
The great unraveling of America that has followed in the aftermath of 9/11, without repentance, will continue and unveil itself in 2010. Everything that has happened in America from the fiasco in Iraq 2003-present, to hurricane Katrina in 2005, to the economic 9/11 that hit America in 2008, is a direct consequence of America’s response to the gauntlet thrown by the Almighty in New York City on September 11, 2001. When the gauntlet of challenge is thrown, it demands a response from the one challenged. In this case the challenge is to America and the nations of this earth; repent or face the judgment of condemnation. Every attempt by the defiant leaders of this nation to correct the collapse of this nation by human wisdom and ingenuity will fail. What God has done cannot be reversed or undone by man (Job 12:13-14; Isaiah 14:27; 43:13; Daniel 4:35).
What the record of history has to say about the current state of affairs in America:
As one writer explains, “when one examines the sweeping scope of human history, it becomes readily apparent that nations rise and fall.” Archaeological evidence exists to substantiate the fact that highly advanced civilizations preceded modern times.
What happened to such civilizations? Why are they nonexistent? The answer to these questions is provided by the Bible. Simply stated, the Bible affirms that as a nation moves in the direction of spiritual and moral depravity, becoming increasingly alienated from God, that nation positions itself for inevitable destruction.
This principle is alluded to repeatedly in scripture. When God promised to Abraham that his descendants would be given the land of Canaan as their homeland, He noted that this gift would not be given for several hundred years. Why the delay? The reason given was; “For the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete” (Genesis 15:16). God would not have displaced one group of people simply in order to give another group the land. That would be unjust and prejudicial-in direct contradiction to God’s nature (Deuteronomy 32:4). He eventually allowed the Israelites to conquer Canaan because the peoples that inhabited the land had grown exceedingly wicked. God used the Israelites to punish the Canaanites for their perversion and depravity *(Leviticus 18:25-30).
Observe that God gives civilizations a considerable amount of time-even hundreds of years-to choose the spiritual and moral direction they will take. If they are determined to spiral downward in an ever-deepening devotion to idolatry, covetousness, sexual perversion etc, God lowers the boom and destroys them for their iniquity (cf. the Genesis flood-Genesis 6:3).
This same principle is reiterated in the New Testament. Jesus summarized the history of Israel as one of frequent rebellion against God. He intimated that they were nearing the limit of God’s toleration and impending punishment when He declared to them: “fill up, then, the measure of your fathers’ guilt” (Matthew 23:32). “It was as if this imaginary cup had been gradually filling up with sin, and that it was nearing the brim-at which time God would respond with appropriate destruction (cf. 1 Thessalonians 2:15-16). As the Jews entrenched themselves against the will of God, they were piling sins on top of sins, until inevitable divine wrath would be their forthcoming-as it did when the Romans sacked Jerusalem in A.D. 70. As one writer put it; “It is in the nature of fallen man and all he constructs to perish, because all is defiled by sin it must be so. The history of this world is full of the debris of past civilizations destroyed bysin.”
It is interesting that the Founding Fathers of America recognized this eternal, biblical principle as having been posited in the fabric of the universe by the creator. They understood that while God will judge each individual human being at the judgment when Christ returns (Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 20: 11-15). He judges nations in history, in time, by bringing destruction upon them when their iniquity is full.
“That is why Martin Luther, a delegate to the federal Constitutional Convention, stated in 1788: “It was said, it ought to be considered, that national crimes can only be, and frequently are, punished in this world by national punishments”.
George Mason, often called “Father of the Bill of Rights,” stated at the Constitutional Convention: “As nations cannot be rewarded or punished in the next world, so they must be in this by an inevitable chain of causes and effects, providence punishes national sins by national calamities”. When a nation refuses to repent after remedial judgments God abandons that nation to the judgment of condemnation which leads to destruction and death.
If this pattern of eventual divine retribution has repeated itself many times over throughout world history, and if God is immutable, i.e., He does not change (Numbers 23:19; Malachi 3:6), will He not respond to America’s iniquity in the same fashion? Yes He will. We know without a doubt how God will respond to rebellion and wickedness in the future, by the biblical record of how has responded to it in the past. What God hated and judged in the past, He still hates and will judge in the right now. God’s consequential wrath is allowing mankind to reap the inevitable consequence that is built into the system of his rebellion (Job 4:8; Proverbs 1:20-32; Isaiah 3:11; 5:5; Hosea 8:7 Nahum 1:3; Romans 1:18-28; Galatians 6:7-10).
So the only question that remains to be answered: Is the cup America’s iniquity full?
This much is sure: In this 21st century defined by the events of 9/11, it has become evident that the American Century is over. The term American century is used to describe America’s dominance of the world for most of the 20th Century. The 40 years (1945 -1985) when America was the exclusive leader of the free world are over. The 20 years (1986-2006) when America was in effect the sole superpower are over. The era of Imperial America, which dictated the world’s economic, political and international agenda is over. America has melted down and become absorbed into a world power arrangement called Multipolarism, which is a world power arrangement that is balanced between many countries and not dominated by one or more all powerful nations. This is extremely significant because for biblical prophecy to be fulfilled, there cannot be one world superpower that can ignore or undermine the rule of the coming world ruler (The Antichrist). America is clearly a nation in decline. Its decline is the fruit of its blatant spiritual and moral decay, piling sins on top of sins without repentance. Following the pattern of history, America has positioned itself for inevitable destruction. It is growing increasingly more evident that God has abandoned America to its sinful choices (Roman 1:28), which tells us that America’s cup is almost filled to the brim. Destruction in whatever form it will take is inevitable.
Addendum
The definition of America post 9/11 is forever changed never to be the same again.
The great unraveling of America that has followed in the aftermath of September 11, 2001, will most certainly continue and unveil itself in 2010. There has been no repentance from America or the nations of this world who have set themselves in continued defiance of God’s Sovereign Supremacy. In their desperate attempt to Order and Govern life on this earth on their terms without God’s inference, the rulers of America and the nations of this world are continuing to take counsel together plotting vain things against the Almighty God and His anointed Jesus Christ (Psalm 2). The judgment of condemnation which results in destruction and death is inevitable because it is inherent in the system of man’s rebellion against God (Isaiah 1:20; Romans 1:18-28). Without genuine repentance and deliverance there is nothing that can stop what has already been set in motion by man’s rebellion against God.
Nahum 1:2-3 says: “A jealous and avenging God is the Lord; The Lord is avenging and wrathful. The Lord takes vengeance on His adversaries, And He reserves wrath for His enemies. The Lord is slow to anger and great in power,And the Lord will by no means leave the guilty unpunished “ .
God’s enemies/adversaries are called the ungodly/wicked (Rasha in Hebrew cf.Psalm 1:4-6) Rasha denotes a category of people who have done wrong, are still living in sin, and are intent on continuing in their wrong doing. They are guilty before God deserving judgment and are unable to be justified. If they repent they could be forgiven (Isaiah 55:7; Ezekiel 18:23, 32; 33:11; Romans 2:4-5; 1 Timothy 2:4; 2 Peter 3:9; Revelations 2:20-21). But they refuse God’s call in remedial judgments. Instead of seeking God, they challenge Him (Psalm 10:3-4). They reject God’s mercy and gracious offer of pardon, and refuse to turn from their wicked ways, instead choosing their own way which leads to condemnation, destruction, and death (Psalm 9:16-20; Proverbs 1:24; 14:12; Zechariah 7:11-14)
America has chosen the way of defiant opposition to God without repentance. The clock is ticking!!!
September 11, 2001 and the Church in America (Pt. 2)
In this post 9/11 hour, everyone who names the name of Christ should be asking ourselves this question: Is what I believe, what I teach, and what I hold to be true, compatible or in opposition to the ultimate purpose of God, as He has ordained to accomplish it. God’s ultimate purpose has been revealed in the writings of the Prophets, and confirmed in the New Testament writings of the Apostles. The ultimate purpose of God, that He has designed and resolved to accomplish, is that He be glorified in His own creation. The precise goal and purpose of God in human history is to bring glory to Himself, by bringing all creation under the Headship Authority of Jesus Christ, Which is the summing up of all things in Christ (Ephesians 1:9,10).
Over the years since the tragedy of September 11, 2001 (9/11), the Lord has confirmed in my heart that 9/11 was a confrontation of the Church, first and foremost here in America. I am convinced that all of the theological and doctrinal presuppositions held by the various camps in Christianity, with the spiritual ideologies and philosophies that have developed from them, have been called to accountability by the realities that have unfolded on the stage of human history, consequent to 9/11.
The Prophetic stage-setting events that continue to unfold in Israel, the world geopolitics and economies in society and religion, are dividing truth from error in our theo/doctrines. After all, every view can’t be right! We all need to stop and do an honest evaluation, and examination of what we believe, in light of the realities confronting us on a daily basis.
A QUICK LESSON ON PRESUPPOSITION:
Our theological and doctrinal presuppositions color our understanding of truth. Whatever we presuppose to be true is true to us. It creates our perspective on life. Perspective is a specific point of view in understanding and judging things and events, as well as the purposes of God. It creates mental pictures. Your perception is your reality (what is real to you). Your reality creates your presuppositions-what you presuppose or take for granted to be true.
Burn this in your brain:
What we believe to be true, RIGHT OR WRONG, determines our approach in dealing with God. It determines our actions, decisions, as well as the allocation of our resources (our time, our efforts, and our money). If what we presuppose to be true is based on the error of faulty theology and doctrine, the focus of what we do, how and when we do what we do, will be in error, and in opposition to God. Which leaves you with a dilemma; to replace them with something new, to change the way you think and approach life alters your reality, creating a crisis in your life.
WHAT WILL YOU DO WHEN EVERYTHING YOU BELIEVED TO BE TRUE TURNS OUT TO BE FALSE?
There is no going back… Crisis is upon the church!
God is calling what we believe to accountability. He is preparing to vindicate His holiness, and the absolute truth of His word, as it is written. He is even now creating crisis in the Church. The words coming from the pulpits of the “Culture of the Church” are hollow and irrelevant in light of what is unfolding on the real time stage of human history- They don’t add up. They don’t make sense. He is preparing to expose the false foundations of those who lead His people astray and into futility, by speaking words of their own hearts and vain imaginations, and not from the Lord. A distinction will be made in the motives of those who stand before the people of God. He will no longer tolerate His name being blasphemed by those who use, abuse, and misrepresent the name of THE LORD JESUS CHRIST TO
FEED THEMSELVES.
The only Star in the Kingdom of God is the KING OF KINGS AND THE LORD OF LORDS JESUS CHRIST!
Judgment has begun at the House of God. God is confronting to make a distinction between the true and the false. The events of September 11, 2001 (9/11), and what has followed as a consequence here in America, and the nations of this world, are being used by God to separate His children from this world that is now ripe for judgment.
Open your eyes-wakeup, disengage from this world, and draw near to God for safety!
ARE YOU READY?
September 11, 2001 and the Church in America (Pt. 1)
In the wake of 9/11 many congregations had standing room only crowds. After the Twin Towers fell, a dazed, fearful, heartbroken and desperate nation flocked into the Churches of America, hoping that someone could explain the Why of such a horrific act. Was it an act of God’s judgment? Maybe the Preachers could explain WHY? They packed the Houses of Worship in record numbers looking for THE TRUTH. But instead, what they found was confused, unprepared Preachers and Christians, who had no real answers to the questions the masses were begging for. An unprepared Church failed to provide the answers they craved, and with every catastrophe and crisis that has followed as a consequence of 9/11, from Katrina to the economic crisis of today, the Church in America has repeated the same treachery.
In the aftermath of that horrific and infamous day, as the vivid memory of falling buildings and death faded into cleanup and recovery. The first segment of American society that quickly got back to business as usual was the Churches in America.
What 9/11 graphically exposed was the true condition of the Church in America. How far it had strayed from THE TRUTH and the heart of God. How sidetracked and totally out-of-sync with the true purpose of God in this world, it had become. And as a consequence, how pointless and irrelevant it has become. Instead of influencing society, the Church has allowed itself to be influenced by society. The vast majority of the Church in America has lost Christ’s savor, and has become good for nothing except to be cast out and trodden under the feet of men (which means to be scorned, rejected, ignored, and treated as worthless and irrelevant).
In America, the absolute truth of the Gospel of Christ has been smothered by the sudden wave of religious pluralism that is now controlling American society. Giving way to a new pick and choose form of religion, “Where the beliefs from all the world’s religions have been married into one of tolerance, love, and the acceptance of others”. Tragically, large segments of American Christianity espouse these new views. The absolute and exclusive claims that Christ made, to be the ONLY WAY, THE ONLY TRUTH, THE ONLY LIFE, AND THE ONLY WAY TO THE FATHER are rejected, and have been nearly outlawed in American society viewed as hateful, intolerant, extremist, ignorant and insensitive to other faith’s.
Judgment begins at the house of God (1 Peter 4:17).
A careful study of the book of the Revelation clearly confirms the truth of this. Before God pours out His wrath on the unbelieving, Christ rejecting world during the tribulation, and the great tribulation in Chapters 6-18. He first confronts the Churches in Chapters 2-3, calling them to repentance. Why? If the Churches are not the proper expression of His truth and righteousness, how can they influence the world for Christ? God’s Perfect Justice will not permit Him to allow falsehood, idolatry, immorality and greed in the Church, while condemning the world for the same wickedness.
The Lord Jesus Christ is coming back to complete (bring to a whole, entire, unbroken conclusion) what He finished at His first coming (1 John 3:8; 5:19; Revelation 19:11-16; 20:1-3). He is coming back to reclaim the throne of His earth (Psalm 2:7-8). The earth right now is being prepared to that end. But I declare to you this day, that before He reclaims the throne of His earth, He must first reclaim the throne of His Church! The glory of man has become the issue and the focus of many ministries in America. And if man is the issue and focus of a ministry, Jesus becomes merely a figurehead in that church, and not the true Head of that Church. God and man cannot be glorified in the same place, at the same time! It is un-natural for Church leaders to allow themselves to be glorified (Mark 10:35-45; John 5:41, 44; 7:18; 8:50, 54; 13:1-17). When that happens, these leaders cause the people to sin by engaging in idolatrous personality worship (Psalm 146:3-4; Isaiah 2:22).
The fine line between being honored (valued highly with respect). And being glorified (exalted, magnified, promoted and renowned), has been crossed by some Church leaders today (1 Corinthians 1:11-13; 3:1-9; 4:1, 2, 6, 9-13; Galatians 5:19-24; 1 Thessalonians 5:12, 13; 1 Timothy 5:17-20; Hebrews 13:7, 17).
9/11 was without a doubt a wakeup call for America and the nations of this world. A demand for repentance! But first and foremost it was a demand for repentance from the Church in America. A signal to WAKE UP and examine ourselves that we be not condemned with the world. To DISENGAGE from this world less we become a partaker of its sins, and an invitation to DRAW NEAR to God. Tragically the vast majority of the professing Church failed to recognize the hand of God in the events of 9/11, and still today does not recognize and accept that His hand of loving judgment is upon His Church, in order to purge, purify, cleanse, polish, and prepare us to be with Him! (Ephesians 5:1-17, 25-27)
Is it not tragic to be irrelevant and not realize it?
Understanding September 11, 2001 (Part 2)
The future has already been written, Biblical Prophecy is history written in advance. The pieces for the final act of the end-times are coming together in this hour, as spoken by the Prophets, with such blinding speed that it takes the breath away. While the vast majority of professing Believers have slept, and because of an ignorance of Biblical Prophecy continue to sleep, the key players of the end of the age are quietly taking their predicted places. Ancient prophecies are now coming into focus to be fulfilled according to God’s word.
What we must all come to grips with and accept, is how September 11, 2001 fits into this new reality. It was the defining and determinitive moment of this 21st century. That day in New York City not only set the tone and the mood of these times, but also determined, established, and gave direction to how we now live. It has been called the “New Normal” because 9/11 changed the course of modern history.
Believe and accept it, or not, the Sovereign and Supreme Lord of heaven and earth, has thrown down the gauntlet here in America, (the leader of this rebellious world) in a challenge to all the nations of this earth, and it demands a response from wayward humanity. Repent or face judgment and condemnation! OPEN YOUR EYES AND LOOK AT WHAT IS UNFOLDING RIGHT BEFORE YOUR VERY EYES! Again: The key to understanding the events of 9/11 is in recognizing what has happened on the world stage as a result of 9/11. On that day the emotional and psychological landscape of planet earth changed. The events unfolding today are the fruit of that day. On September 11, 2001, America was forced from her place of isolation, seemingly immune to the pains of lesser nations, and forcibly lowered into the community of nations. The limits of America’s military might have been graphically exposed in both Iraq and Afghanistan. America is no longer an economic superpower. Today, America is the largest slave debtor nation in the world, teetering on the brink of economic collapse, totally dependent on the nations of the world to finance its wars, its debt, and its continued survival. America’s financial fall has crippled the nations of this world.
America’s rebellion is being used by God as a catalyst for the fulfillment of Biblical Prophecy. It says in Revelation 13 that there will someday be a one world system. In 2008, the seventh year anniversary of 9/11, we saw the Prophetic clock go into fast forward in all categories. But the world cry for global governance accelerated almost overnight as the nations of the earth are being pushed toward one world by the global financial crisis. There is a cry for a global fix. Nations are uniting as never before. Why? For their own survival! The fall of the nations began here in America.
I’ll Talk to you next time about what September 11, 2001 means for the Church in America. But know this: Judgment begins at the household of God (1 Peter 4:17). While God is demanding repentance from America, the hinge on the door of REPENTANCE or JUDGMENT is the Church in America!
Understanding September 11, 2001 (Part 1)
It is undeniably evident to every citizen, of every nation on the face of this earth, that something decisively different has happened in the nine short years of this new millennium. Everything has changed. Something is just not right. Confusion, panic, anger, fear and desperation, characterize this time. It seems that everything is out of control. And most frightening to the people I talk to, is that everything that is attempted to correct the problems, most of the time make the problems worst.
The problems facing America and the nations of this world are growing larger and more resistant to correction, frustrating even the most brilliant minds of human wisdom from all the nations of this world. How did we get here? Is there any answer to what is happening, and why it’s happening?
YES THERE IS!
In order to understand what is going on in America, and the rest of the world today, we must go back to the morning of the events of 9/11, and come to grips with THE TRUTH of 9/11. It was the day IN OUR TIME, when the Almighty, Sovereign and Supreme Lord of the universe, stretched forth His hand, removed the protective hedge that has surrounded this nation since its inception, and permitted the calamity that occurred in New York City, making it (ground zero) for humanity’s war of rebellion against the Creator.
September 11, 2001, represents the beginning of the finality of God’s judgment, on humanity’s efforts to Order and Govern life on His earth, on their own terms, in rebellion against His Sovereignty and Supremacy. The reason I can say with complete confidence that God stretched forth His hand and permitted the calamity of 9/11, is because God Sovereignly ordains everything that comes to pass on His earth. In other words there is nothing that happens outside of God’s Sovereign will. This view of God’s will is based on the fact that because God is Sovereign, and His will can never be frustrated, nothing happens that is not beneath His perfect control (Isaiah 45:7; Amos 3:6). This understanding of God’s Sovereign will does not imply that God causes everything to happen, rather, it acknowledges the fact because He is Sovereign, He KNOWS everything that is going to happen, and must at least permit or allow whatever happens to happen! He must choose to permit it, because He has the power and the right to intervene. God can always decide to either permit or stop the actions and events of this world. Therefore, as He allows things to happen, He has willed them in this sense of the word.
As someone so profoundly said: “Not even a speck of dust moves in God’s universe without His permission”. What that means is: while God may not be the immediate cause of every event, in that He does not personally carry them out, and please understand I do not mean to imply that He does.
But at the risk of offending some still nursing the wounds of that tragic day, what I am explicitly saying is; that as the Supreme Lord and Commander of the Universe, with absolute and total authority, He is always the ultimate cause of every event. All of which He uses to serve His Divine Purpose. Consider this: “Were it in anywise possible for something to occur apart from either the direct agency or permission of God, then that something would be independent of Him, and He would cease to be Supreme”.
If God did not allow, or dare I say authorize the calamity of 9/11 to happen, it could not have happened. Again, nothing happens that is not beneath His perfect control (Job 1:6-12; 2:1-6). There are no arbitrary decisions made by terrorists, or even Satan himself that are independent of God’s sovereign will. To think otherwise is to degrade the All-Powerful, All-Knowing, All-Wise God, by relegating Him to the status of a passive, impotent spectator. There is never a single moment of time that He is not in absolute and total control, of any and every event that occurs in His universe. No matter how catastrophic or senseless they may seem to us.
The key to understanding the events of 9/11 is in recognizing what has happened on the world stage as a result of that infamous day. On September 11, 2001, in a single moment a new global order was officially inaugurated, and the leadership landscape changed on planet earth. In the past eight years, the dominance, authority and credibility of America, (the world’s last remaining superpower) has eroded on the world stage.
Everything that has happened in and to America following the calamity of 9/11, is both directly, and indirectly related to America’s response to that calamity. That includes the financial crisis of this hour. In dereliction of it’s Prophetic duty, the professing Church in America has failed to answer faithfully and honestly this question: Was the calamity of September 11, 2001 the judgment of God on America?
Based upon this understanding of God’s sovereignty… What do you think?
September 11, 2001 defined and changed the course of modern world history!
September 11, 2001 defined and changed the course of modern world history!
If you think that the destruction of the World Trade Towers in New York City, on September 11, 2001 (9/11), was simply a tragic moment in American history, that we and the rest of the world can afford to get over and move on from, think again! Just open your eyes and take an honest, unbiased look, at the inescapable evidence that is confronting us. A daily reminder of how much life has changed here in America, and the nations of this world, never to be the same again.
Even if people do not relate what they are feeling to the events of 9/11, it is undeniably evident to every citizen, of every nation on the face of this earth, that something decisive has happened in the few short years of this 21st century. Everything has changed. Something is just not right. Confusion, panic, fear and desperation characterize this time. It seems that everything is out of control. The problems that are facing America and the nations of this world, are growing larger and more resistant to correction, frustrating even the most brilliant minds of human wisdom from all the nations of this world.
What we must understand, acknowledge and accept, is how September 11, 2001, fits into this new reality. 9/11 was the defining and determinative moment of this 21st century. That day in New York City not only set the tone and the mood of this time, but also determined, established, and gave direction to how we now live. It has been called the “New Normal” because 9/11 changed the course of modern history.
How did we get here? Is there an answer to what is happening and why it’s happening? Yes there is!
